If you are a fan of Zinfandel wine then you will need to try a Korta Katarina Zinfandel, the original Zinfandel.
Croatian Zinfandel, also known as Crljenak Kaštelanski and Tribidrag in Croatia, is a Croatian gem of a wine and more complex than the American Zinfandel.
Carol Meredith, an American geneticist, and her research team compared DNA profiles and records of different types of wines and determined that Zinfandel most likely originated in Croatia.
Their research found that Crljenak, from the Croatian region of Kaštela in Dalmatia, is identical genetically to Zinfandel.
